7 Days & 6 Nights Camping Adventures

Location: Bangor Ridge Wilderness Camp - Bangor Ridge, Portland

Objectives of the Camp: Build Team Spirit in meeting the challenges of the outdoors Acquisition of practical Do-It-Yourself (DIY) and outdoors skills Promote Leadership and Personal Development Skills. 

Management & Safety : Experienced male and female camp directors assigned to each camp will ensure the safety and well-being of participants and the fulfillment of the above objectives. The Camp site can be contacted by (Digicel) cellular phone.

Daily Programme

Main Events Arrival, Briefing & Familiarization

Formation of Teams & Assignments - Kitchen Crew & Site Maintenance (Trails, Tree Planting etc.)

Tour of the Camp Site & Hike to the waterfall

Community Visit - Hike to Coffee Factory and Meeting with Community youth Leaders

 

Farming Experience - Day with the farmer

 

Wilderness Survival Skills -

GPS & Map Reading, Tracking etc.

  Culture & Heritage Day - Visit to the Charles Town Maroon Museum

Charles Town Young Farmers Herb Garden

Experience the rich Culture and Tradition of Rural Jamaica

Foraging - Hunting & gathering dinner from the forest & the streams

Treasure Hunt - Prizes & Surprises
