FISH DUNN WATERFALLS & EXPEDITION
2nd Most Exiting Hiking Destination in the Blue Mountains
One day wilderness hiking adventure Into the Grand Ridge of the Blue Mountains
"If your are serious about adventure"
- No. 2 Destination in the Blue Mountains
7 hour - Return adventure hike into the northern slopes of the Grand Ridge of the spectacular Blue Mountains, now a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
“It drop outa the hillside from wey up innah mist so steady an trang yu nuh see it ah move” … Ah battam it mek a deep pool with sand an beach. Pool wey yu can swim inna”
Finding the Dunn – It’s hard to sift between fact and fiction, as locals excitedly relate the awesome experience of their first sight of the Fish Dunn Falls.
Beneath the forest canopy, the long narrow track which winds its way up the Mabess Gorge, remoteness has helped to keep this sanctuary out of reach and safe. Many persons in the nearby community of Bangor Ridge have heard of the falls and other fascinating places en route such as Big Rock, a giant boulder which fell seemingly from the sky onto the trail. The truth is only a few have ever ventured that far. Not surprisingly so, as the journey is no easy march and most locals are content with the vicarious pleasures of listening to embellished stories told by bushmen and pig hunters who have made the trek and have seen these places with their very own eyes.
Find the adventurer in you, be bold and hike with us as we seek to put doubts to rest; pull fallacy and fantasy from the facts, and find, photograph and capture for your own stories, the Fish Dunn Falls and the journey up the Mabess Gorge. Let those who want to qualify our stories check it out for themselves.
