On clear mornings when the mist surrenders quietly to the rising sun, the golden hue of dawn sweeps across the eastern sky, tinting cloud layers far below...don't be surprised if you feel a little high ...its only natural.

In the mist forests of the Blue and John Crow Mountains (Jamaica's first terrestrial National Park), there is a lot to learn. Jamaica ranks fifth (5th) among islands of the world in terms of endemic (found only in Jamaica) flowering plant species, as an average over 40% of the flowering plants in the Blue Mountains are found nowhere else in the world. Rare and unfortunately sometimes endangered wildlife completes the picture - with luck you may spot a *Ringed Tail Pigeon or a *Jamaican Tody.
